How scoring works
Every listing gets a match score out of 100. The score is deterministic — the same listing and the same request always produce the same number. No listing can pay to rank higher.
The five dimensions
Points are awarded across five dimensions:
What each dimension measures
Requirements match (55) — the processor, RAM, storage and screen size detected in the listing, compared against what you asked for. Meeting or exceeding a requirement earns full points; falling short earns partial points in proportion to the gap.
Price value (25) — how the price sits against your stated budget. Comfortably under budget scores full points and is called out; over budget loses points in proportion to the overshoot. A listing with no visible price gets partial credit and a warning rather than being silently dropped.
Brand fit (10) — whether the brand is one you asked for or one you excluded.
Condition (5) — new, refurbished or used, matched against what you said you wanted.
Availability (5) — whether the listing is currently in stock at the source.
Your saved preferences
If you have saved a shopping profile — preferred brands, usual budget, preferred stores, minimum seller rating — it adjusts the score by at most ±12 points, and only for fields you did not specify in this particular search. What you type always wins over what you saved.
What the score does not include
Commission, affiliate relationships and sponsorship play no part in the calculation. Where a retailer marks a listing as sponsored, Findeso labels it and scores it the same as any other listing.
The score reflects what can be detected from listing data. When a specification cannot be read from the title or description, Findeso awards partial credit and shows a warning instead of guessing.
