How Findeso works

Write the request the way you would say it: “MacBook Air M1, 16 GB, under $800, good condition” or “iPhone 15, unlocked, Canada”. Findeso parses that sentence into structured requirements — device type, brand, model generation, processor, memory, storage, budget, condition and region — instead of matching keywords.

Filters for price range, condition, country and sources are available too, and every search is shareable as a URL.

Enabled retailers and marketplaces are queried in parallel: large retailers, refurbished specialists and peer-to-peer marketplaces in both the US and Canada. Results that are already fresh in cache are shown immediately while slower sources continue to arrive.

The full list, and which country each source covers, is on the supported retailers page. The data providers behind them are listed under data sources. When a source is unavailable, it is skipped rather than delaying your search.

Most shopping searches drown in cases, screen films, chargers, cables, spare parts and look-alike models. Findeso applies a device-only filter by default: listings that are accessories, components or a different model generation than the one you asked for are dropped before scoring, not merely ranked lower.

Specifications are then read from titles and descriptions — processor family, memory, storage, screen size, condition — so a listing can be compared to your requirements rather than to its marketing copy.

What remains gets a match score out of 100 across five dimensions: requirements match, price value, brand fit, condition and availability. The score is deterministic — the same listing and the same request always give the same number — and each result can be expanded to see exactly where the points came from, along with warnings and trade-offs.

Shortlist the contenders and compare them side by side with a plain-language verdict. Save a search to re-run it later, add a listing to your watchlist to follow its price history, and set an alert to be notified when it drops below your target.

Findeso does not sell products, hold inventory, take payment or handle returns. Every result links to the retailer's own listing, where their price, stock and terms apply — always confirm the details there before buying.

Where a retailer runs an affiliate programme, Findeso may earn a commission on that visit. Commission is not an input to the score; see the affiliate disclosure.

Marketplace data is imperfect: titles are wrong, descriptions conflict, stock changes minute to minute, and some specifications simply are not published. When a specification cannot be read, Findeso awards partial credit and shows a warning instead of guessing.
